Governor Kay Ivy announced some exciting developments for the people of Alabama this week. Over $7.9 million in grant funding will be awarded to cities and counties across the state for infrastructure improvements. A cause that is close to the hearts of Madison County’s people. The Rebuild Alabama Act provides this grant program and requires that the allocated funds be used within a year from when the grant is awarded. Meaning the program’s improvements will become apparent across the state very quickly. Madison County has been approved for a project Resurfacing Owen Road from Brockway Road to US-431.
